Berkley, MI (April 8, 2024) – Seven Point. announced today that construction has begun to build out its new Berkley dispensary located at 28557 Woodward Ave. Serving both adult-use customers and medical patients, the store will double as a record store selling newly released vinyl albums and turntables, as well as leverage technology to deliver education on cannabis strain origins, effects and consumption forms.

"Cannabis and music go hand-in-hand, and with the revival of vinyl we will create a first-of-its-kind dispensary where people will be able to shop for records across genres to enhance their cannabis experience,” said Brad Zerman, CEO and co-founder of Seven Point. "We will spare no effort in designing this store to deliver the look and vibes of a record store. The walls will showcase vinyl and album art next to cannabis displays. We’ll play concert videos on TVs and music from albums sold in the store on a high-quality turntable viewable on the sales counter. Our budtenders will give recommendations on the best cannabis products that pair well with music genres. No other dispensary in the area—or in cannabis for that matter—offers an immersive experience like this and we think Seven Point will be the next greatest hit.”

In 2023, Americans bought nearly 50 million albums, a 14 percent increase from the year prior. The resurgence in vinyl records continued for the 15th consecutive year, with revenue growing 61 percent to $1 billion in 2021. Vinyl records last exceeded $1billion in 1986.

In addition to selling vinyl albums and turntables, Seven Point will feature a special technology focused on cannabis education. Customers will be able to place sample cannabis packaging on an RFID-tray and an adjacent screen will display pictures and short video clips of the products and production facilities of manufacturers and growers. Shoppers also will be able to make online orders through this system or mobile tablets.

On April 20th in celebration of the 420 cannabis holiday, Seven Point will give out free branded lighters and rolling trays while supplies last at The Neighbor’s Shoppe located at 2833 Twelve Mile Rd. No purchase necessary.

On April 24th, Seven Point will host a hiring event from 2 PM to 5 PM in the large meeting room at the City of Berkley Parks & Recreation’s Community Center. This will be an opportunity to network with prospective candidates and educate them about a career in cannabis. Additionally, Seven Point will have a table reserved for discussions with patients on how to register or renew a medical card.
